or table. This could then be used as a coffee or tea table in your garden. So the next time you have your friends over you can have tea in your garden and make use of your gnome table to keep your china ware.
Gnomes can be fixed to a stand that can serve as an umbrella stand. These gnomes do not necessarily have to be placed in your garden. They can be placed on your porch. They would still do their primary function of decorating the area while being used to keep your umbrellas as well. You can make use of the gnome stand as a coat stand as well in a similar fashion. However, the stand that the gnome will be attached to needs to be longer and sturdier since coats tend to weigh more than umbrellas.
Gnomes can also bear little placards and announcements. You can even have your name written on the placard and it would serve the purpose of a name plate. In this way you wouldn’t have to have a regular name plate on your door. The gnome at such times will have to be placed near the gate so that it can be seen by all who visit or pass by your home. These placards do not have to be limited to your name plates but can bear signs like “beware of dogs” and “trespassers will be prosecuted”! They can be used as specific decorations. For example they can bear signs of season’s greetings and festivities depending on the ones that are coming up etc.
I reminded her about my warning concerning pranksters. They were obviously having fun at her expense. Once the prank had run its course, they would retrieve their gnomes and leave her alone. And sure enough, one morning all the little figurines from hell were gone. Unfortunately, they also took my mother’s friend Kitschi.
Peace and calm returned to Mom’s home. The roses were blooming without the oversight of a Girl Garden Gnome.
